Fiddlin' Camp

Have I mentioned that Maggie is taking violin lessons this year?  She finished her whole year of piano (per my request) in order to take lessons.  Actually, it's pretty cool that she offers $1 of her own money each month to help pay for it.  She started back in May and over the summer they get to choose a "camp".  Maggie chose fiddlin' camp and had a great time.  This photo is at her Summer Concert in August.
Ya know, Maggie's good at a lot of things and I think this might be one of the first things that's been really challenging for her (other than sitting still..hehe).  She has great rhythm and note reading skills, but it takes some work physically to have good posture, coordination, etc.  She's progressing well, but not as quickly as I think she expects to.  Is it bad of me to actually to be grateful for this?  Maybe she'll learn that she doesn't have to be perfect at something in order to enjoy it and that life is full of challenges that we INDEED can overcome.  Wait...maybe that's what I'M learning this year. ;)
