I've already raved about these Bountiful Baskets, but I want you to see for yourself at how awesome they are! Look at this FABULOUS produce. I could hardly contain myself this week. Peaches, Plums, Cherries, Tomatoes, Lettuce, Avocados, Bananas, Grapes, Beans, Broccoli, and Cantaloupe. I tore into those cherries like nobody's business and the girls were all over the plums. Pure goodness for $15/basket, LOVE IT!!

Scenic River Classic Kids 1 Mile Run
Here's the whole running gang! My friend, Valerie, and her sister, Catherine, ran the 5K this morning and all our kiddos ran in the kid's run. Israel & I both had to sit this one out due to continued injury...bummer.
Maggie did great! She more of a sprinter it seems. This her taking a quick walk break before...
pushing through for a strong finish! Way to go, girl!
Emma ran her first race and she's an endurance runner! She ran the WHOLE time! She actually came in just behind Maggie. Not too bad for a three year old.
The family that runs together, stays together...or something like that. ;)
Seriously, these guys are everywhere. I can't really explain why, but we sure weren't going to pass on a photo op. hehe Emma was a bit nervous about the whole thing, but she stuck it out.
It was a great day of racing, free bread and ice cream cones, playing in the yard, catching up with friends, etc. I'm LOVING having some freedom!

What We Do In the Summertime
I make delicious Strawberry Rhubarb pies with the rhubarb from our yard...mmm....pure summer-ness
Maggie and her friends enjoy treats from the ice cream truck and play all day in the yard.
Israel & I dig big holes in our yard to sink the trampoline...cutting sod...cutting sod....
We fill big holes in our yard with dirt and get rid of loads of plants. And Israel builds a dog run for the..well...dog
I tend the strawberry patch...
and the Raspberry Patch, while Israel & the girls plant sunflowers & ornamental corn.
And spend loads and loads of hours in jumping on the trampoline with the sprinkler underneath. Could it get better than this???? really??? I didn't think so. :)

A Little Road Trip - June
Israel has a friend with a cabin up in the Palisades and we decided to take a little day trip to go check it out. It's a great place and we can't wait to spend some time up there this summer. On our way home we stopped at this scenic overlook of the river to stretch our legs and have a little adventure.
There were these cute little chipmunks all over the place! So, cute and not afraid of humans. I did scream a bit like a little girls when going to look at a chipmunk this raced in front of my feet!! Hey, I was surprised!
Next, we took the girls to Chuck-O-Rama for dinner and they insisted on a dance to follow.

Oh What Do You Do With Bok Choy?
The 1st photo is grilled Bok Choy. Israel really liked it, I was alright with it and the kids did NOT love it. That's ok. It was worth trying.
Next, I mixed it into our lettuce salad and the girls were mostly fooled. :) They had a great time building their own salads though. Don't they look delicious? mmmm... I love that my little family is willing to try new veggies, even if they don't love them. :)
May Update
I've gotten incredibly behind. In some ways I think that is a good thing! It means I've been so busy having fun "making" memories that I've run out of time to record them. ;) A quick picture update with just have to do.
This is a song performed by The Choralaires. It's a women's community choir that I LOVE! I'm front row, center, between a blonde and dark brunette.

Mommy's biggest fans!
We had a few semi-almost-kinda-on the verge of warm days and the girls took advantage of that with a game of Monkey in the Middle. Would you look at that monkey's sweet mitt?
The girls are so lucky to have a fabulous Dad who takes them to the park for lunch while Mommy's at work.
Maggie's reaction to Mom & Dad going to Disneyland without them!! LOL!
These silly ducks have lost their way! Iz got this photo at the hotel in SLC. This was in the hotel's hot tub!
A class field trip to the ZOO! We called our little group the Pink Monkeys!
Checking out the wild life.
Emma so happy to be along for the ride!
This is one hilarious monkey! He kept calling to us and so Iz called back and the monkey flew to the glass right next to Iz and I thought he was going to scream like a little girl. No worries, he did not, but that sure would have been funny.
Yep. That's Maggie in the Middle, falling off.
This Memorial Day we made a trip to Elko, Nevada!!! To see our fantastic friends and for Iz to practice some of his SCUBA skills. Israel made all the arrangements, snacks included, hence the powdered donuts... that put Maggie in a sugar coma....
and rendered Emma speechless.
Israel's SCUBA group.
My very own hobby enthusiast!
The girls checking out the hot air balloon from our friends front window.
We REALLY did not take any pictures this trip. WHAT was I thinking?? But, here's beautiful Elizabeth anyway.
And her beautiful Mommy, Misty!
May was a busy & fun month! We had so much fun with the Lamberts and can't wait for them to come for a visit in July!!
