4 YEARS OLD and growing TOO FAST~!!
Maggie woke up at 5 AM to make a special requested birthday breakfast of Marshmallow Mateys and juice (I guess that's what you get when you make a hot breakfast for your kids every morning.... |
Emma's cake request this year was a Merliah Mermaid cake from "A Mermaid Tale". Not my ideal, but she likes it. We made a makeshift surfboard so she would get lost at sea and made chocolate seashell candies for a border. This was also my first attempt to "write" on cake. Not my finest decorating moment, but it's done and she's happy-ish. [After seeing it she decides to tell me that she had changed her mind and wanted a Clifford cake. Tough cookies kid! You'll have your cake and eat it, too! bwahahahaha]

Overall a really nice day. We'll be having her birthday dinner Friday night so we can have "restaurant pizza".

awww cute post!! love the cake you made. I have to learn to make fun cakes like that. our girls are the same age (Savannah turned 4 less than 2 months ago). love it!
Love the years coming together. May have to steal that idea! Adorable. Love the cake. I'm glad she had a great Birthday. If you want to make a Clifford cake for fun. Since it use to be my class mascot... the easiest way I have found is 2 heart cakes. Cut one down the middle for ears. Attach the the points together. Then at the bottom of the main heart cake place a pink tongue.
Ray man says the cake rocks! Love it.
Thanks, bud! And what a good idea for the Clifford cake.
