Family Home Evening

We've sadly gotten out of the habit of having regular family home evenings and I figured what better way to start again than a  lesson on Manners & Courtesy!  The girls prepared treats...

Why yes, you do see Israel in SCUBA gear...in our kitchen.  It's a regular occurrence that we've become accustomed to.

 

These are our kindness jars.  Here's how it works:  The quart jar is full of pennies and each time we hear or see a family member being courteous, thoughtful or polite to someone else than we put a penny in their jar!  You can't put pennies in your own jar and pennies are never taken out.  It's been GREAT!  It's fun to watch them notice us being polite and especially each other.  Can't wait to see what Emma comes up with next week.
