Last week I made a Strawberry-Rhubarb pie for the first time from scratch! And the rhubarb is from our garden. I'm so loving this house. I gotta tell ya though, I was quite distracted and forgot to put the little dabs of butter over the filling before putting on the top crust (also homemade). Hence, the smiley face. I cut a big circle, inserted dabs and folded it back over and made a cute happy face. The girls thought is was fun and Israel just liked eating it. I call it a success!

Mmmm...Pie....

i'm so excited that you guys are loving having your own house, and garden, and making yummy pies! i'm kinda envious! i want a garden, but really no place for it. we'll have to see about changing that...
